Are you ready to race? We are! On behalf of the Nanaimo Dragon Boat Festival Society, Fairway Gorge Paddling Club would like to welcome you ¬†to the Save On Foods Nanaimo Dragon Boat Festival.¬†Fairway Gorge Race management has updated the¬†"Dragon Boat Festival Rules & Regulations"¬†to bring them in line with Dragon Boat Canada's rules.¬†There will be up to 19 seeded heats with 8 boats of 4 lanes - over 6 hours of racing per day.
Low tide at 2.77 ft happens at 11:28 am¬†on Saturday and 2.61ft at 12:02 pm Sunday. Races are fast and fearless. Enjoy!

The best way to know the race results is to be on site during the festival and watch the amazing competition in person.¬†¬†
NEW: One of our¬† biggest¬† races (1,500 metres) will close the Festival's racing program Saturday and Sunday.¬† 8 women's dragon boat teams will compete for glory on Saturday. 8 mixed dragon boat teams will compete for glory on¬†Sunday.¬†With boats racing at 10 second intervals, this race combines strength, strategy, and stamina in a race against the clock. Multiple turns and boats in close proximity make this one of the can't-miss-races of the Festival.¬†

Tim Hortons is proud to present the¬†Tim Hortons¬†Island¬†Race Series¬†in partnership with 6 different events around Vancouver Island!¬†Enjoy some of the most competitive racing on the continent and local entertainment while exploring BC from the water this summer.¬†Come out and celebrate with us this summer!¬†To register for the series, teams must register on the team registration package via Fairway Gorge Paddling Club
